Video display unit support bracket integrates TV, Internet, gaming and computer peripheral devices

(New York, NY – August 12, 2010) TVR Communications (TVRC), the largest U.S. provider of interactive patient services and entertainment products, announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office recently awarded the company a new patent.

Patent No. 7,733,633, entitled “Video Display Unit Support Bracket,” was awarded to TVRC in June.

“This patent is the result of TVRC’s investment in interactive patient care technology through a close working relationship with hospitals to help define best practices of integration at the bedside,” said Keith Washington, TVRC CEO. “We at TVRC will continue to invest in this technology to make it easier for hospitals to enhance the patient care experience.”

The full description in the abstract reads, “Video display unit support bracket that facilitates greater integration of TV, Internet, gaming, and computer peripheral devices. The bracket can include a rigid casing defining a first outer shell. An engagement structure can be disposed on a portion of the rigid casing. The engagement structure includes one or more receivers that are configured for rotatably securing a proximal end of a video display unit support arm to the rigid casing. The rigid casing can enclose a first internal cavity, which, in turn, can enclose one or signal processing circuits selected from the group consisting of an RF modem, a multiplexing device, and a control signal interface circuit.”
