History of Innovation:
Since the founding of the company in 1950, TVRC had been a leader in developing and delivering patient education, entertainment and communication services.
1958 - installed televisions in hospitals for patient use
1970 - installed color televisions in hospitals
1981 - installed the first self activating patient television system
1982 - installed an integrated patient content scheduling solution that displayed images in addition to text
1996 - delivered an authoring tool that allowed hospital staff to create patient satisfaction surveys and patient education quizzes
1996 - installed the first interactive television system at a hospital
1999 - developed and installed a web browser that automatically adapted web content to different television displays
2001 - installed first healthcare grade flat-panel LCD TV in a hospital
2002 - delivered online prescriptive education content ordered by hospital staff and viewed at the patient bed
2005 - deployed an automated wide area network management solution for hospital patient services
2007 - deployed the first true HDTV solution (TV, content and distribution) in America
